While going through the revamp of Hotels.Online Singapore, we realize that we have overlook one of the files which we created way back in 1998, the what's new section. Surprising enough, there are actually visitors who reads this page!

We must say that we have been through a long period since 1998, the core team is still around, many have joined us and left, while others have stayed on with us.

With this new revamp, Hotels.Online Singapore aims to be stronger than ever before. Like always, comments, feedbacks, criticism are welcome!

It is through you that we learn how to improve.

After almost a year of non-updates and with the Travel team of Online Technology concentrating on development of asiatravelinfo.com (http://www.asiatravelinfo.com), Hotels.Online Singapore is re-launched with a vengence!

Aside from changing the interface and look'n'feel of the site, we have added in several other interesting features, including online travel chat and message board.

For hotel bookings/reservations, we added in long term stay option for visitors who want to book hotel rooms for more than 7 days.

In the pipeline are many more features and facilities which should be ready within Feb 2000, so watch out for it!

Hotels.Online announces tie-up with TravelNow! With this tie-up, users of Hotels.Online practically can make reservations for over 50 hotels, big and small located all over Singapore!

Plans are underway to incorporate all reservation services to Reservations.Online, which is slated to be launch on 1st June 1999, keep a look out for it! Reservations.Online will include hotel reservation services for over 30,000 hotels worldwide!

New look at Hotels.Online! This is the third time we have made changes to the look and feel at Hotels.Online.

We have included a "Singapore URL Guide", which links you to practically all the major information resource in Singapore.

We have also included a section on photographs by Mr Wee Kheng Hor, a varsity mate of our managing consultant, Mr Eddie Teo.

We have done several minor database updates since October, so we are not really out of action. Some of the major updates includes some major rebranding exercise by Hotels round the island. Now you can search for the new names, and old names, and it should still show up, what's that?!

We have also updated several latest events/promotions on. Check out the $3.00 breakfast from Copthorne King's!, or formerly King's Hotel.

Yes, we have many visitors asking us to provide a search engine for searching the hotels in Singapore. Well, we decided to give it to you! To make it easier to all, we even sub-divide it to search according to several criteria.

Very shortly after our complete interface change, we are now releasing our Tour.Online Singapore.

If you have noticed, Tour.Online is not completed. It will NEVER be completed. There are simply TOO MANY GOOD places in Singapore to shop, eat, enjoy, that is almost impossible to have all of them listed!

So in the meanwhile, enjoy what we have for you. We also welcome any form of contributions in terms of review, feedback etc. Please email to our webmaster with your feedbacks. Thanks!

Since you have reached here, we presume you have seen our complete new interface. For the past one month, our graphic and web design team have been cracking their heads to come up with interesting looking pages.

We sat through almost four complete re-writes, and numerous complete "overhaul" of the look of Hotels.Online. Finally, we have decided on this present interface as it provides us with ease-to-use interface, pleasant to the eyes and also fast in loading.

You probably would have noticed the new section we have created, "Tour.Online". It is now under major works and is entering the final stages! Look out for it.

We would also like to extend our sincere thanks to visitors to Hotels.Online, and Hotel Operators who have e-mailed, fax, and called us to thank us for this service. We are considering putting up the comments by visitors to Hotels.Online for everyone to read.

We have been working on a new interface to make Hotels.Online even faster to access. While we understand a lot of you out there who do not like using frames, but it seems that we have not got much of a choice as it is faster to load the sub-frames.

It has been a very successful first two weeks for us at Hotels.Online. We have received very encouraging response from hotels, big and small, who have feedback to us, submitted us with detailed information, and even recommended other hotel operators from other countries to contact us, so that they could be listed at our site!

We have several good news aside from the encouraging response from the hotel operators.

Despite not being listed in major search engines, especially engines like Yahoo!, Lycos etc. as yet, we still managed to attract more than 300 hits! This demonstrates and strengthen our confidence that a service like Hotels.Online is much desired.

On top of the hit rates, we have received words from a regional broadcasting station who would like to interview us for Hotels.Online. We will keep everyone posted on the outcome of the interview. And if allowed, we would probably put up a video on the interview as well.

More good news?? Our Hotels.Online listing has even attracted the interests of a major hotel chain operator in Vietnam. Yes, now one of the hotels in Vietnam is online as well!

With the listing of the hotel in Vietnam, we are now considering opening Hotels.Online to listing of hotels regionally. Details will be announced soon!
